Mostly of my favorite jewelries are made of Fresh Water Pearls,this is the actual pictures of some of my pearls.
Pearl is one of the most popular gems.It is the only one created by a living creature (a certain kind of oyster,clams,mussels and known as the mollusk). Its softly shining beauty has made the word "pearl"means almost the same thing as "beauty" and "great worth"
What makes a pearl valuable? Natural pearl are found rarely,and large natural pearls even more.The largest known natural pearl found in a shell of giant clam and named the "pearl of Lao-tze"it weighs 14.06 pounds (6.38 kilograms) Valuable pearls has a beautiful shimmering luster which call the pearls orient. Pearls are usually white, cream, pink, or rose, blue gray, or black. The common shape of the pearls is round it is develop in the soft parts of the mollusk while baroque pearl has solid and irregular shape and when the pearl becomes attached to the inside of the shell it becomes a button pearl rounded on one side and flat on the other,blister pearl formed when a mollusk covered the injured spot of the shell with nacre.
The finest Natural pearl comes from saltwater while Fresh water pearls found in the river and lakes.Cultured pearls are less expensive than natural pearls.

Pearls are known in jewelry making , the soft texture, shimmering luster and its natural look
